Top 6 Toilet Partition Material Types and Cost by Lockers N More

May 7, 2010

So many types of material for toilet partitions? Which is the best one for me? Here are some helpful hints regarding quality and pricing.

1) Powder coated steel toilet partitions are the least expensive.

Powder Coated Steel Toilet Partitions

The powder coating and galvanized steel on these partitions provide you with quality and economy. The powder coating on these partitions resists corrosion, scuffing, scratching, fading or staining. It cleans easily. Choose from our selection of contemporary colors to complement your interior. These partitions come with a 2- year warranty.

2) Plastic Laminate cost is 12% higher than the steel

Want affordable partitions and fine design? Plastic laminate partitions combine these features. Bonded under pressure to a particle board core, these laminate finishes meet or exceed all NEMA standards. The manufacturer bands the edges of all the components before laminating them giving you maximum water runoff and durability. Choose from a variety of colors and installation types.

3) Solid Plastic cost is 44% higher than the steel

Choose solid plastic / polymer (HDPE) partitions for areas where there is heavy traffic. These partitions never need to be painted, and resist dents and chips. Choose solid plastic for low maintenance. Solid plastic partitions resist water, cannot delaminate and tolerate high humidity and corrosive environments.

4) Black Core Phenolic cost is 51% higher than the steel

Phenolic materials provide superior strength, durability and moisture resistance. Choose either black-core partitions where color remains on the surface or color-thru phenolic partitions where the color permeates the partition. Use phenolic partitions where vandalism is a problem. All phenolic partitions come with a 10- year warranty.

5) Stainless Steel cost is 61% higher than the steel

Stainless steel partitions not only provide you with virtual indestructibility, but also with beauty. Stainless steel partitions consist of type 304 stainless steel with a number 4 satin finish or a textured finish. The steel is bonded to a honeycomb core. Interlocking strips welded at each corner hold the face sheets rigid and firmly in place.

6) Color Thru Phenolic cost is 63% higher than the steel

Phenolic materials provide superior strength, durability and moisture resistance. Choose either black-core partitions where color remains on the surface or color-thru phenolic partitions where the color permeates the partition. Use phenolic partitions where vandalism is a problem. All phenolic partitions come with a 10- year warranty.
